Hoodie robber behind bars

""
Submitted by Morris Malakoff on Friday, November 20th, 05:35pm

The man accused of being the “Hoodie Bandit” is behind bars tonight in the Pierce County Jail.

Chris Allen Hughes is accused of four bank robberies in a spree that started on September 28th and ended November 6th. In that time, he is said to have hit banks in Fircrest, Tacoma, Puyallup and Parkland.

Someone who saw Hughes picture in the media contacted police and told them he was Hughes was AWOL from the military. Police contacted the military who said that Hughes was actually out of the service but they had an address for him.

Police went to the house. There, they met Hughes wife, who identified him from the surveillance photos during the robberies.

They arrested Hughes Thursday and he confessed to the four robberies.

He is now charged with four counts of 1st degree robbery.

What a disgrace to the uniform. Goes AWOL like a coward and then robs 4 banks.

I completely agree with the above comments. What a coward! & to do this to his wife and child...right before the holidays, all because of an addiction. I hate to say that I actually used to live with this person, but i could honestly say that of all people, he'd be the last i'd accuse of being a bank robber. Their is so much more to this story than what is written. He's such a coward for not only going AWOL from the Army but because of his poor excuse for being a man.

Yall all need to shut the **** up!! This is my brother you are talking about!!!!! Something made him go over that edge. If you are not gonna give him a chance then leave him alone, he doesn't need any one beating him down. I'm not condoning this behavior, but only one person knows why and how it happened and that is HIM! He is a kind, gentel, loveable person, not a piece of **** or a waste of air, like you are making him out to be. I do agree with the one statment that says that he would be the last person to do something like this. He is a great father and would do anything to help anyone. He deserves to be punished for what he did no matter what the reason is; but don't "Crucify" him. That is the last thing he needs. He didn't bring physical harm to anyone. Like I said, either help him or leave him alone!

why is a stupid b**ch like you trying to tell us how to think......

Obviously there is something wrong with his head.....cuz if he was smart and all that he sure as hell wouldnt have robbed a bank letting his face get all over the cameras......   I laugh at his stupidity.  And I laugh at you!   You say he would do anything to help anyone....you call stealing from us helping?   I dont think so....and neither does anyone else, for that matter.  so do us all a favor, and cry a river and float on it.  or build a bridge and get over it.

Well I guess that you have no heart or empathy. I'm not saying Sympathy. If you even know the difference. I am not telling anyone how to feel or what to do, I am asking for the people who "know him" not to rake him over the coals. I am not a stupid b as you have said and I know excatly what you are talking about, I haven't been able to talk to him yet to find out the whole story. I just know that I have feelings and so does he, just as well as everyone else. Everyone has their own thoughts and feelings and we have the freedom of speech in this country. I just don't want him to be smashed into the ground anymore than he already is. I hope you have a nice day and watch out for the bus that will run into you one day, never forget that what goes around comes around. And no matter what you do in life, no one is perfect and no one has the right to judge anyone cause YOU ARE NOT GOD!

I am his wife and if he was such a great person and father, and he would "do anything" for someone else he wouldnt have left us to pick up his mess AGAIN! me and my son are the ones that have to suffer and no one is here to fix it but us! so dont you for one second try and say he is a good person he is a horrible person for doing this to us! and i do know everything so he isnt the only one! he was so high he put the drugs before his family before anything! He diserves everything he gets but that still doesnt f'n help us out!

Oh and by the way they never knew where we lived till I told them. They came to my work that morning and I identified him and told they to go get him out of my house. And I went and got my son.
